The Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD), in its first response to the party\u2019s poor performance in the Bihar elections, adopted a tone of resilience and humility.<\/p>\n

In a post on X, the party stated that public service is \u201can unceasing process, an endless journey,” adding that setbacks and successes are both natural parts of political life. Emphasising that there is \u201cno sorrow in defeat and no arrogance in victory,” the RJD reaffirmed its commitment to representing the marginalised. It stressed that, as a party of the poor, it will continue to raise their concerns and fight for their rights.<\/p>\n

\u201cPublic service is an unceasing process, an endless journey. Ups and downs are inevitable in it. No sorrow in defeat, no arrogance in victory. The Rashtriya Janata Dal is the party of the poor. It will continue to raise their voice among the poor,” the party said in a post on X.<\/p>\n

Rahul Gandhi slams alleged electoral manipulation<\/strong><\/p>\n

The opposition reacted sharply to its heavy defeat in the Bihar Assembly Elections 2025, with Congress leader Rahul Gandhi calling the results \u201ctruly surprising” and alleging that the election was unfair from the outset. Gandhi accused the ruling NDA of engaging in widespread vote manipulation, asserting that democracy must be protected at all costs. Though he did not present concrete evidence publicly, he maintained that the electoral process had been compromised by Election Commission.<\/p>\n

NDA sweeps Bihar polls<\/strong><\/p>\n

In contrast, BJP and JD(U) leaders celebrated the NDA\u2019s commanding win, securing 202 of the 243 seats. The BJP emerged as the single largest party with 89 seats, followed by JD(U) with 85 and LJP (Ram Vilas) with 19.<\/p>\n

NDA leaders attributed their success to effective seat-sharing, broad caste outreach, and the enduring appeal of Nitish Kumar, alongside voters\u2019 fear of a return to \u2018Jungle Raj\u2019. They dismissed the opposition\u2019s accusations as baseless.<\/p>\n

With Tejashwi Yadav retaining Raghopur but the RJD and Congress reduced to 25 and 6 seats respectively, the results reaffirmed NDA\u2019s political dominance and cleared the way for another term for Nitish Kumar.<\/p>\n
