Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Friday expressed his gratitude after the NDA secured a massive majority in the Bihar Legislative Assembly elections.<\/p>\n

Sharing his reaction on X, Kumar thanked the people of the state for their trust and support, calling it a demonstration of confidence in his government.<\/p>\n

\u201cIn the Bihar Legislative Assembly Elections-2025, the people of the state have expressed their confidence in our government by giving us a massive majority. For this, I bow to all the esteemed voters of the state, and express my heartfelt gratitude and thanks,” Kumar wrote.<\/p>\n

He also extended his thanks to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his guidance and backing, while acknowledging the contribution of his NDA allies, including Chirag Paswan, Jitan Ram Manjhi, and Upendra Kushwaha, for the coalition\u2019s united effort that led to the sweeping victory.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe NDA alliance has achieved a massive majority in this election by demonstrating complete unity,” he noted.<\/p>\n

The Chief Minister further expressed hope that the government would continue to focus on the welfare and development of the state in the coming years. \u201cWith the support of all of you, Bihar will progress even further and will be included in the category of the most developed states in the country.”<\/p>\n

The National Democratic Alliance, comprising the BJP, Nitish Kumar\u2019s JD(U), and other partners, is poised to sweep the polls for the 243-member Bihar assembly.<\/p>\n

As of 6:30 pm, the NDA was leading on 204 seats, with the BJP emerging as the single largest party with 91 seats, followed by the JD(U) on 85. Chirag Paswan\u2019s LJP (Ram Vilas) was leading on 19 out of 29 seats it contested, while Jitan Ram Manjhi\u2019s HAMS led on five seats.<\/p>\n

In contrast, the Mahagathbandhan, which includes Tejashwi Yadav\u2019s RJD, the Congress, and three Left parties, was struggling with only 34 seats, with the Congress facing a near wipeout. Prashant Kishor\u2019s Jan Suraaj Party drew a blank in its debut election.<\/p>\n
