Apple is still in two minds about launching the iPhone Air 2 version next year (or ever) which is why there are multiple reports that contradict each other\u2019s view. Recently, we heard the iPhone Air is back on the pipeline for the company and we will be seeing it with more cameras at the back. <\/span><\/p>\n

Now, another tip suggests the iPhone Air 2 delay is the real deal and the company is going ahead without the sleek iPhone for its 2026 lineup. The new details via a report by The Information says the weaker than expected demand for the iPhone Air is probably going to be the end of the lineup for Apple.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Will It Happen Again?<\/strong>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

This is the second report that highlights the sale issues with the iPhone Air model and nobody can\u2019t say that they didn\u2019t see this coming. The launch of the iPhone 17 with more premium features and a better camera also doesn\u2019t help the cause for the iPhone Air, which caters to a different buyer, but the premium on its design clearly didn\u2019t find the right end.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

That\u2019s not all, you have fewer cameras than the regular variants, and the premium price tag of Rs 1,19,900 will surely pinch buyers, who can easily put another 10K and get the iPhone 17 Pro with better all-round features. And Apple\u2019s ongoing production line suggests these trends are true which means it will be selling more of its premium 17 Pro models in the market.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The fact that Apple is quickly moving away its focus from the Air version is not shocking. These thin phones have built the hype but functionally these devices are not matching up to the standards of the industry.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Apple played the smart game by keeping the Air version out of the 17 series lineup, something that Samsung could have also done to avoid this dramatic U-turn. The iPhone Fold is the main target but Apple wanted to test the waters with a sleek and premium device to see how the market responds and the feedback has been mixed. <\/span><\/p>\n
