The Karnataka Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Sunday released a video on X, targeting the ruling Congress government in the state.<\/p>\n

Speculation is rife over change in Karnataka leadership<\/a> as CM Siddaramaiah is about to finish 2.5 years in office soon, and his deputy DK Shivakumar has been vying for the post. Both Siddaramaiah and Shivakumar have rubbished it over the past few days.<\/p>\n

The BJP shared the video with a caption: \u201cIt is \u2018No Chair November\u2019 for @DKShivakumar #Congressfailskarnataka #CMChairfight.”<\/p>\n

The AI-generated video shows Rahul Gandhi and Siddaramaiah sending a \u201cHi” to Shivakumar on WhatsApp from Gandhi\u2019s account. This is followed by a \u201cscratch” card.<\/p>\n

As Shivakumar scratches the card, he receives \u201cNo Chair November” as reward. Gandhi and Siddaramaiah are then seen laughing.<\/p>\n

Siddaramaiah had last Monday said<\/a> he would discuss cabinet reshuffle with Congress leader Rahul Gandhi and party chief Mallikarjun Kharge after the Bihar elections. \u201cI will discuss cabinet reshuffle with Rahul Gandhi and Kharge after the Bihar elections\u2026People can say whatever they want. Who is the High command? Has Sonia Gandhi or Rahul Gandhi or Mallikarjun Kharge said anything? More than people, it is the media which is discussing it. Apart from the High command, what others say doesn\u2019t matter,” he said.<\/p>\n

Shivakumar <\/a>on Thursday had played down the possibility of what is being called the \u2018November Revolution\u2019\u2019 calling himself a \u201cdisciplined soldier” of the Congress.<\/p>\n

Shivakumar, while speaking to News18 recently, had emphasised on the crucial role of Siddaramaiah\u2019s support and blessing in the Congress party\u2019s future success in the state, not just in the upcoming 2028 elections but beyond. \u201cWithout Siddaramaiah\u2019s blessing and support, the Congress party will find it difficult,” Shivakumar had said.<\/p>\n

here was stiff competition between Siddaramaiah and DK Shivakumar for the chief minister\u2019s post after the assembly election results came out in May 2023. The Congress managed to convince the latter to accept the post of deputy chief minister. There were some reports at the time that a compromise had been reached, according to which Shivakumar would become CM after two-and-half years, but this was never officially confirmed by the party.<\/p>\n

Siddaramaiah had at the recent \u2018News18 Rising Karnataka summit\u2019 hinted at a possible re-entry into electoral politics in 2028, despite earlier intentions to retire.<\/p>\n
