Former Indian cricketer Mohammed Kaif has said that Virat Kohli has become a calm personality over time, adding that the star Indian batter didn\u2019t sign a commercial contract with the Royal Challengers Bengaluru because he was waiting to see which direction the franchise goes, given sale rumours.<\/p>\n

Bengaluru has become the hottest team on the market, with as many as six companies vying to buy the defending IPL champions, according to reports.<\/p>\n

Speaking on his YouTube channel, Kaif noted a clear shift in Kohli<\/a>\u2019s approach compared to his early days in international <\/span>cricket.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cVirat Kohli has become a bit calm now. There is a lot of difference between how he was before marriage and how he is after marriage. When I see him playing now\u2026 he hit <\/span>Rabada<\/span> for a boundary coming down the ground, maybe he had scored a fifty and won the game,” Kaif said.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cBut he was very calm. He told me that if I had not attacked <\/span>Rabada<\/span> early on, he wouldn\u2019t have let me play. So I wanted to hit him off the first ball. <\/span>He still wants to improve his game after having played for so many years,” Kaif said.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cAnd he still meets me the same way even now. If he called you a brother before, he will call you a brother now as well. When you meet him off the field, he will remember that he has played with you and will give you that respect,” Kaif added.<\/span><\/p>\n

Addressing the speculation surrounding Kohli\u2019s contract with Bengaluru, the former India player said that the star batter was adopting a cautious stance amidst the team\u2019s ownership transition.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cThere are rumours that the next season might not have the RCB name. Virat Kohli did not sign the commercial contract as he was waiting to see what direction the new owners would take,” Kaif said.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
