Kajol turned 50 on Tuesday, August 5, and marked the milestone with grace, style and nostalgia. The actress stepped out of her Mumbai residence to greet the paparazzi waiting outside, and her look immediately caught attention. Draped in a classic white saree with a shimmering black border and a black blouse, Kajol bore a striking resemblance to her legendary mother, veteran actress Tanuja.<\/p>\n

Her look was completed with a retro middle-parted ponytail and minimal makeup, allowing her natural features to shine. She wore statement earrings and a ring, while keeping her accessories subtle. Kajol\u2019s warm smile and confident wave to the cameras made fans nostalgic for the golden era of cinema with many calling her a spitting image of Tanuja from her younger days.<\/p>\n

The visual homage to her mother didn\u2019t go unnoticed, and social media was quick to draw comparisons, with fans posting side-by-side images of Tanuja in her youth and Kajol\u2019s birthday look. <\/p>\n

Earlier in the day, Kajol\u2019s husband, actor Ajay Devgn, took to Instagram to post a birthday message filled with love and humour. Sharing two monochrome photos of Kajol \u2014 one from her youth and another recent click \u2014 Ajay wrote, \u201cCould say a lot but you would still roll your eyes. So\u2026 happy birthday, favourite Kajol.”<\/p>\n

In February, Kajol had also shared a birthday post for Ajay, joking, \u201cAll the cool people were born in August, but we don\u2019t mind wishing you a happy birthday \ud83d\ude09 \u2026. thank u for always being older than me.”<\/p>\n

Kajol and Ajay Devgn tied the knot in 1999 and are parents to two children \u2013 Nysa and Yug.<\/p>\n

On the work front, Kajol was last seen in the supernatural thriller Maa, while Ajay\u2019s latest release Son of Sardaar 2 hit theatres recently. Kajol\u2019s upcoming project Maharagni: Queen of Queens is also generating buzz.<\/p>\n
