Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Friday declared that the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) and Congress had been wiped out in the first phase of the Bihar elections, sending a clear message that people will now allow \u2018jungle raj\u2019 to return in the state again.<\/p>\n

Addressing a rally in Jamui, Shah said, \u201cThe first phase of the elections concluded just yesterday. Lalu-Rahul\u2019s party has been wiped out. Their account should not open in Jamui either. All four seats here need to be credited to the NDA\u2019s account.”<\/p>\n

He said that the RJD-Congress alliance were trying to re-introduce \u2018jungle raj\u2019 in disguise, but the people of Bihar have made it clear that it will not be allowed. \u201cIf you make even the slightest mistake and deviate even a little from the lotus symbol or the arrow symbol, then jungle raj will come again,” Shah said.<\/p>\n

\u201cIf we win, we will constitute a new department to ensure that Bihar becomes free of floods. If Lalu\u2019s son wins, he will open a new department for \u2018Apaharan\u2019 (Kidnapping),” the Home Minister said. \u201cWe will not let \u2018jungle raj\u2019 return to the state.”<\/p>\n

Shah also underscored Prime Minister Narendra Modi\u2019s focus on the development of Bihar via road infrastructure, ethanol and sugarcane factories, and the fight against Naxalism. He also credited Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar for ending Lalu Yadav\u2019s misrule.<\/p>\n

He also launched an attack on Congress leader Sonia Gandhi, saying that \u201cthose concerned only about the welfare of their sons and daughters cannot make Bihar developed”.<\/p>\n

\u201cGive us a mandate for five more years, and Bihar will be counted among the developed states. It will be made free from floods. Lalu-Rabri-Rahul have no development agenda,” he said. \u201cThey did not do anything for the poor, barring patronising infiltrators who are usurping poor people\u2019s jobs, foodgrain and resources. Do you think that those who are concerned only about the welfare of their sons and daughters can make Bihar a developed state? They can\u2019t.”<\/p>\n
