iPhone 18 Air could be a sign that Apple will continue making the thin iPhone<\/p>\n<\/figure>\n<\/div>\n

iPhone Air 2 (or 18 Air) launch is still very much in plans for Apple and the company is even looking to make some notable upgrades to the thin model next year. Earlier reports have suggested the iPhone Air sales have forced the company to cancel plans for the successor but the latest tip hints at bigger changes in play for the Air iPhone variant.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The iPhone Air version was introduced outside of the 17 series this year but it seems the next model could be part of the 2026 iPhone 18 lineup.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

iPhone 18 Air Details Hinted: More Cameras Incoming<\/strong>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The details via tipster named Digital Chat Station suggests Apple realises the need for more cameras on the premium Air model, which is why we could see the iPhone 18 Air launch with a dual camera system at the back and the sensors will probably be sourced from the 17 Pro variants. <\/span><\/p>\n

The post also shows a design render of the rumoured iPhone 18 Air model which still has the ultra-thin design but now houses two camera sensors at the back within the same module.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

He claims Apple could offer a 48MP main sensor along with a 48MP ultrawide lens, but we sure hope that the brand could make it a telephoto lens instead. These are very early estimates about a product that could still be shelved if Apple is not keen to push forward with the Air revolution.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The company also has a small matter of its first foldable iPhone in the same loop which might need more focus, effort and resources. It will be intriguing to see how the new Air variant works out and if Apple can manage to keep it thin but still offer a bigger battery inside the top module.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Before that, the company has to fix its AI struggles and for that reports say it will take Google\u2019s expertise and use a version of Gemini AI model to power its new Siri version next year. In fact, the iPhone giant could pay as much as $1 billion to the search tech company for each year to make this happen. <\/span><\/p>\n
