(PTI\/File)<\/p>\n<\/figure>\n<\/div>\nThe Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) filed a complaint to the Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) on Thursday after Union Minister Bandi Sanjay Kumar alleged that police permission for a public meeting in Hyderabad, which he was set to address, was abruptly denied.<\/p>\nThe BJP strongly condemned the Hyderabad police\u2019s decision to revoke permission for the public meeting, in the context of the upcoming bypoll in Jubilee Hills, and demanded strong action against the ACP, Punjagutta and the Returning Officer of the Jubilee Hills Assembly constituency. After the backlash, Hyderabad police gave permission for the BJP public meeting.<\/p>\nThe police denied permission for the BJP meeting at Borabanda area, saying that another programme had already been given to another party, and cited the Model Code of Conduct. The BJP alleged that the move reflected \u201cpolitical pressure” exerted by the Congress government in Telangana.<\/p>\nTaking to X, Bandi Sanjay Kumar alleged that permission for the BJP campaign was first approved, then suddenly denied. \u201cIs this Democracy or Razakar rule? Is this Telangana\u2019s governance or control from Darussalam? Have the police been handed over to AIMIM\u2019s command??”<\/p>\n\u201cWhat are they so afraid of? The people\u2019s voice or the rise of BJP? Irrespective of permission, I\u2019m coming to Borabanda. Let them try to stop me.
