Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini on Wednesday slammed Congress leader Rahul Gandhi over his \u201cexplosive” allegations of voter fraud in the 2024 Haryana Assembly elections, saying that the Lok Sabha Leader of Opposition is misleading the nation with such lies.<\/p>\n

\u201cRahul Gandhi is lying. Four generations of his family have ruled this country, and yet he has to resort to lying. Rahul Gandhi is doing the work of misleading the nation\u2026The way Congress has become agenda-less, they are misleading the nation by spreading lies,” Saini said as quoted by news agency ANI.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, former Chief Minister and senior Congress leader Bhupinder Singh Hooda backed Gandhi\u2019s allegations of vote theft and said that voice of the people were suppressed, and the government was stolen through it.<\/p>\n

\u201cRahul Gandhi explained in detail. He provided complete evidence of how many votes were cast, and what all happened\u2026 When everyone saw the exit polls\u2026 no exit poll anywhere gave the BJP more than 29 seats, and the Congress party was winning with a landslide majority. The obvious doesn\u2019t need proof. Just look at the last three or four results of the Haryana Assembly elections. Whoever won the postal ballots formed the government\u2026” he said as quoted by the news agency.<\/p>\n

Rahul Gandhi Alleges Vote Fraud In Haryana Polls<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Earlier today, the Congress leader stepped up his vote theft attack against the BJP and the Election Commission, alleging large-scale voter rolls\u2019 manipulation in Haryana during the 2024 assembly elections.<\/p>\n

He claimed that 25 lakh votes were \u201cstolen” in the state which has two crore voters. \u201cThis means one in eight voters in Haryana is fake, 12.5 per cent,” the Congress leader said as he dropped his much-awaited \u201cH Bomb”.<\/p>\n

Noting that all exit polls had predicted a Congress victory in Haryana election, Gandhi said the results surprisingly showed a victory for the BJP. The Congress leader also showed a video of CM Saini telling the media before the results that \u201carrangements” had been made and his party was winning the polls. \u201cWhat were these arrangements?” he asked.<\/p>\n

He further alleged a Brazilian model was registered as a voter in Haryana 22 times in at least 10 different booths. Sharing the stock photograph of model Matheus Ferrero, the Congress leader said it could be downloaded for free from a website that deals in stock photos. He added that the woman was listed under different names\u2014\u201cSweety, Seema, Saraswati”\u2014in voter rolls.<\/p>\n

ECI Hits Back<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Reacting to Gandhi\u2019s charges, sources in the Election Commission said zero appeals were filed against electoral rolls in Haryana. \u201cOnly 22 election petitions are currently pending in the high court against 90 assembly seats,” the sources said.<\/p>\n

The poll body also questioned what the polling agents of the Congress were doing on polling day. \u201cIf someone votes more than 200 times in two booths, why was no objection raised by polling agents of Congress? After the voter list was finalised, a copy of it was given to all parties. Why was the duplicate name issue not flagged? Why was there no appeal? In a secret ballot, how is it being alleged who a voter voted for?”<\/p>\n
