Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy stirred a massive political row with his controversial remarks concerning minority people, with the BJP slamming the comments, claiming that the grand old party survives on dividing communities.<\/p>\n

What Revanth Reddy Said?<\/strong><\/h3>\n

While addressing a gathering of Muslim voters for the Jubilee Hills Assembly by-election, Reddy was heard saying, \u201cIf Congress exists, then only Muslims exist\u2026 Without Congress, you are nothing.”<\/p>\n

Reddy, during his address, highlighted his government\u2019s initiatives and alleged that the previous K Chandrasekhar Rao-led BRS government had neglected Muslim welfare and said Congress had historically protected minority rights.<\/p>\n

BJP Reacts<\/strong><\/h3>\n

However, his assertion that \u201cwithout Congress, Muslims are nothing” has drawn a sharp backlash from the BJP, which accused the Chief Minister of making communal and divisive statements to influence the electoral outcome.<\/p>\n

Telangana BJP state chief N Ramchander Rao condemned the remarks and said, \u201cFor decades, Congress survived on dividing communities and now CM Revanth Reddy just proved it again. Hindus of Jubilee Hills have seen, heard, and remembered every word. They will respond on November 11 through the power of the ballot.”<\/p>\n

BJP spokesperson Vinod Bansal said, \u201cThe Chief Minister is trying to scare Muslims for votes. He claims \u2018Congress hai toh Musalman hain.\u2019 In reality, Congress has only used the Muslim community for vote-bank politics and given nothing in return.”<\/p>\n

VHP leaders also criticised the statement, calling it a tactic to \u201cinstill fear” among minority voters.<\/p>\n

BRS Slams Remarks<\/strong><\/h3>\n

BRS working president KT Rama Rao also slammed the Chief Minister\u2019s remarks and said that he\u00a0should come out of the delusion that there would be no Muslims without the Congress Party.<\/p>\n

\u201cMuslims have existed even before the Congress Party was born.. Even if the Congress Party vanishes tomorrow, Muslims will remain,” he said.<\/p>\n

Jubilee Hills Bypoll<\/strong><\/h3>\n

The bypoll in Jubilee Hills \u2013 where the Muslim electorate is estimated to be around 1.3 lakh \u2013 is being seen as a prestige battle for the ruling Congress. The by-election is scheduled to be held on November 11. It was necessitated by the death of sitting MLA Maganti Gopinath of the BRS. The opposition party has fielded his wife, Maganti Sunitha.<\/p>\n

The BJP has once again given a ticket to Lankala Deepak Reddy.<\/p>\n
