Microsoft continues to add some useful features in Windows 11 and some of them will be making its way in the next few months. The latest Windows 11 Preview Build shows the future set of features that will be available for a wider audience in the near future.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

We\u2019ve already talked about the big mistake from Microsoft that meant the update and shut down feature was actually having issues which will finally get a fix in the future updates. Now, the company is testing another helpful way to pair two wireless headphones without the use of a cable, splitters or others.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Windows 11 Shared Audio Coming Soon For PC Users<\/strong>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Windows 11 preview build is like the beta version that we get for smartphones. This opens up the gateway for future features to be tested with a select group before going public. And now Windows 11 is letting you pair the audio devices simultaneously which allows people to enjoy multi-player games on the same system or even watch movies without having to share one of the earbuds with the other person.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Reports say Windows will use the Bluetooth Low Energy version to support the Shared Audio feature so that you don\u2019t drain the battery quickly. There is a big catch with the feature for now, even in the Preview Build as the Shared Audio option is being offered with premium Copilot PCs which includes the Snapdragon X powered Surface Laptop models from the company. <\/span><\/p>\n

Does that mean you will need to buy the more expensive Windows laptops to get this feature? It is possible that Microsoft might keep it available for the high-end variants initially and gradually offer the Windows 11 update which unlocks it for more eligible models which means it needs to support Bluetooth LE Audio feature.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

If your PC checks all these boxes, you can sign up for the Windows Insider Program and update to the latest available Build version and have two wireless headphones or earbuds paired to the system before enabling the Shared Audio option available in the settings.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Coming back to the \u2018update and shutdown\u2019 issue, the company admitted the feature was actually restarting the system. So, if you were wondering why the PC is on when you have shut down, it is more like a glitch.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Microsoft has not only admitted to the issue but also assured that the latest Windows 11 build is fixing it and making sure that the system shuts down when you command it.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
