An old video of a social media influencer, who looks like Rohit Sharma, training Harmanpreet Kaur for a walk with the trophy has gone viral on social media, hours after the latter invented her own style to celebrate India\u2019s maiden women\u2019s ICC title win on Sunday, November 2.<\/p>\n

It was a night destined to be remembered, <\/span>a defining moment not just for Indian cricket but for women\u2019s sport in the nation. At the heart of it stood Harmanpreet <\/span>and as ICC chairman Jay Shah handed her the gleaming trophy, the stadium erupted in joy.<\/span><\/p>\n

By taking the winning catch to dismiss Nadine de Klerk, <\/span>Harmanpreet<\/span> sealed India\u2019s place in history. Her side had achieved what generations before them had only dreamed of, <\/span>becoming world champions for the very first time.<\/span><\/p>\n

Unlike Messi\u2019s long, dramatic march with the trophy, <\/span>Harmanpreet\u2019s<\/span> walk was short and simple, <\/span>yet every bit as emotional. She strode with pride before lifting the trophy high, as chants of \u201cIndia, India” thundered through the stands.<\/span><\/p>\n

Harmanpreet\u2019s captaincy through the tournament was marked by intuition and fearlessness, qualities that shone brightest in the final and when she spoke at the post-match presentation, she<\/span>\u00a0made sure to keep her focus on the bigger picture.<\/span><\/p>\n
