Indian women\u2019s cricket team captain Harmanpreet Kaur has said that although her side knows how it feels to lose, they are looking forward to seeing how it feels to win, with India standing on the verge of winning a maiden ICC title in women\u2019s cricket, one that has eluded the team for over four decades now.<\/p>\n

Indian women\u2019s cricket stands on the verge of a defining moment, <\/span>one that echoes the men\u2019s iconic 1983 win. Led by <\/span>Harmanpreet<\/span>, the side is determined to end its ICC trophy drought as it faces a formidable South Africa in the Women\u2019s World Cup final in Navi Mumbai on Sunday, November 1.<\/span><\/p>\n

The 13th edition of the World Cup is all set to crown a new champion, as third-time finalists India take on first-time finalists South Africa, <\/span>both sides arriving on the back of stellar campaigns.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cWe know how it feels to lose. But we are looking forward to how it feels to win. Hopefully, tomorrow is a special day for us. We have done a lot of hard work and it is only about getting everything done tomorrow for the team,” Harmanpreet said while speaking at the pre-match press conference.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe have been talking about that whenever we have enjoyed and given our best, we always get positive results. It is a proud moment for me and the entire team and I am sure the entire country must also be very proud of the way we have played the last two games,” Harmanpreet added.<\/p>\n

A title win could spark an unprecedented wave of interest in women\u2019s cricket in India, inspiring a new generation of young girls to embrace the sport,<\/span> going past even the impact of the Women\u2019s Premier League\u2019s launch three seasons ago.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cWhen you are at a stage like a World Cup final, there cannot be any bigger motivation. The team is charged up, players are supporting each other and that shows they are together and how ready we are for this match,” Harmanpreet said.<\/p>\n
