Hours after it the news of veteran actor Dharmendra\u2019s hospitalisation left everyone worried, it has now been reported that he is doing fine and that there is nothing to worry about. On Friday night, journalist Vickey Lalwani took to his social media and claimed that Dharmendra was rushed to the Breach Candy Hospital in Mumbai after he complained of breathlessness.<\/p>\n

\u201cDharmendra<\/a> came in complaining of breathlessness. He is in the ICU and he is sleeping now,” a person from the hospital, cited by the journalist, said, adding, \u201cHe came in complaining of breathlessness. He is in the ICU.”<\/p>\n

The unnamed staff member from the hospital also clarified that Dharmendra is \u201cstable” and said, \u201cNo, right now nothing to worry. He is stable. His parameters are okay\u2014the heart rate is 70, the blood pressure is 140 by 80. His urine output is also good.”<\/p>\n

Reports of Dharmendra\u2019s hospitalisation made headlines on Friday evening after a source cited by India Today claimed, \u201cSomeone may have spotted him and created a news piece. He is absolutely fine and there\u2019s nothing to be worried about. He is in great spirits and just went for his scheduled tests.” However, just a little later, another report by NDTV claimed that the actor has been in the hospital for the last five days.<\/p>\n

Earlier this year, Dharmendra underwent an eye graft surgery. A video of him walking out of the hospital with a bandaged eye had gone viral. He then told the paps, \u201cI am strong. Abhi bhi Dharmendra mein bahut dum hai. Abhi bhi jaan rakhta hoon. Meri aankh, eye graft (corneal transplantation) ho gayi hai. I am strong. Love you, my audience and my fans.”<\/p>\n

The actor is about to turn 90 years old on December 8. He will soon be seen in Ikkis. The upcoming biographical war drama film featuring Agastya Nanda, grandson of Amitabh Bachchan, Dharmendra and Jaideep Ahlawat in the leads, is generating significant anticipation. Helmed by Sriram Raghavan and backed by Maddock Films, it is set to arrive on the big screens in December this year.<\/p>\n

Based on the incredible true story of Second Lieutenant Arun Khetarpal, who was posthumously awarded the Param Vir Chakra for his bravery in the 1971 Indo-Pak war, the film marks the big-screen debut of Agastya Nanda and Simar Bhatia, niece of actor Akshay Kumar. Veteran actor Dharmendra plays Arun\u2019s grandfather, who frequently tells stories of valour from his past to a young Arun, who listens in wonder.<\/p>\n
