Aaron Taylor-Johnson\u2019s much-anticipated shot at becoming the next James Bond after Daniel Craig<\/a> could be in jeopardy amid renewed scrutiny of misconduct from years ago. While there are speculations that Anthony Boyle, Callum Turner, Leo Suter, Harris Dickinson, Reg\u00e9-Jean Page, or Idris Elba are also in the race to play the famed spy, the 35-year-old British actor has emerged as the frontrunner for the role, although nothing has been confirmed yet.<\/p>\n

But his potential casting in the upcoming film may now be under scrutiny after claims of misconduct dating back to 2012 resurfaced. Back in 2020, Aaron\u2019s co-star Sandra Echeverria, in Oliver Stone\u2019s film Savages, which also featured Taylor Kitsch, opened up about a troubling incident on set. She claimed that during a scene where her character was bound to a van, Aaron and Taylor deliberately revved the vehicle, leading her to fall and get hurt.<\/p>\n

\u201cI Hated Them,” Said Sandra Echeverria<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u201cWe came in a truck (I was supposed to be kidnapped with the hands and the feet tied in the trunk). Well, they seemed to find it very funny between takes to start the truck really hard\u2026 For me to fly around and hit with the movement of the van,” Sandra said. She added that her father witnessed the incident unfold and was furious. \u201cI decided not to say anything and hold on, but I hated them. Two proud celebrities were able to do that,” she added.<\/p>\n

Aaron Taylor-Johnson Had Apologised To Sandra Echeverria<\/strong><\/p>\n

Revealing that Aaron had later apologised to her at the film\u2019s premiere, she said, \u201cAaron came to apologise. At least he did seem to feel bad. Taylor couldn\u2019t care less. Does that give you the power of Hollywood? I don\u2019t know.” It is worth noting that Aaron has not publicly addressed the allegations.<\/p>\n

The timing of the post\u2019s resurfacing couldn\u2019t be worse for the British actor, as he is not only being considered for the James Bond role but may also be cast as the next Batman, now that the Superman director James Gunn has started following him on social media. Sources close to the 35-year-old actor, known for roles in Kick-Ass, Bullet Train, Avengers: Age of Ultron, and Anna Karenina, revealed that he had previously exhibited such behaviour but has changed.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s no secret Aaron was a bit cocky back then. He\u2019s always been very competitive, and sometimes that energy went too far,” one insider revealed. Another shared, \u201cAaron has grown up significantly. He understands how much is at stake. It would be tragic if his career suffered as a result of mistakes made in his early twenties.”<\/p>\n
