At his concert in San Francisco on 27 October, 20-year-old singer Sombr tried to add humour to his popular \u201cCall Your Ex” segment. Asking fans to stay quiet, he decided to prank-call pop star Selena Gomez<\/a> live on stage.<\/p>\n

The crowd cheered as he dialled, expecting laughter and playful banter. But instead of Gomez, the call connected to her husband, Grammy-winning producer Benny Blanco.<\/p>\n

A video from the show shared on social media captures the moment Sombr hesitated when a deep voice answered, asking, \u201cWho\u2019s this?” The singer replied nervously, \u201cIs this Benny Blanco? I was trying to call your wife.”<\/p>\n

The light-hearted tone vanished as the audience realised the mix-up wasn\u2019t scripted. Sombr quickly apologised and ended the call, leaving fans in awkward silence.<\/p>\n

Clips from the night show that Blanco wasn\u2019t amused. Despite Sombr\u2019s attempts to explain that it was just a joke for the crowd, Blanco kept his tone cool and brief before hanging up.<\/p>\n

According to TMZ, the mood in the venue shifted instantly, turning the funny segment into an uncomfortable pause. Fans later shared clips online, calling it \u201cpainfully awkward” and \u201ca prank gone too far”.<\/p>\n
