Veteran actor Sudhir Dalvi, loved by generations for playing Sai Baba on screen, is currently in hospital and fighting a serious health battle medically known as sepsis. As medical bills continue to rise, help has begun to arrive from within the film world \u2014 and one of the first to step forward is Riddhima Kapoor Sahni.<\/p>\n

The 86-year-old actor has been admitted to Lilavati Hospital, Mumbai since October 8, 2025. He is undergoing treatment for severe sepsis, a life-threatening infection that has pushed his health into a critical state. According to reports, the expenses have already crossed Rs 10 lakh, and may reach Rs 15 lakh as treatment continues.<\/p>\n

Family Seeks Support<\/strong><\/p>\n

Dalvi\u2019s family has reportedly expressed worry about the mounting costs and appealed for financial help from fans and the industry. The news has sparked concern online, with many remembering how deeply his work impacted their lives.<\/p>\n

Ranbir Kapoor\u2019s sister Riddhima Kapoor Sahni Extends Help<\/strong><\/p>\n

Among those who responded to the social media post was Ranbir Kapoor\u2019s sister, Riddhima Kapoor Sahni. She donated and wished Dalvi strength and recovery. She wrote under the post urging support. \u201cDone \ud83d\ude4f\ud83c\udffb wishing him a speedy recovery.”<\/p>\n

However, one user questioned why she commented if she had donated, saying, \u201cWhy did u mention here if you have helped .. footage chahiye?”<\/p>\n

Riddhima shut down the trolling with a calm but firm reply, \u201cEverything in life is not about optics\u2013 Helping someone in need and in whatever capacity you can is the biggest blessing.”<\/p>\n

A Legacy That Lives On<\/strong><\/p>\n

Sudhir Dalvi remains a treasured figure in Indian cinema and television. His portrayal of Sai Baba in the 1977 classic Shirdi Ke Saibaba continues to be celebrated. The TV serial made him a familiar face on Indian television. His calm and kind screen presence touched many viewers, and people still remember him for that role even today.<\/p>\n

He also impressed audiences as Rishi Vashishtha in Ramayan (1987), and appeared in films like Junoon (1978) and Chandni (1989).<\/p>\n

His last film appearance was Xcuse Me (2003), followed by Woh Huye Na Hamare in 2006. As prayers pour in, fans across the nation are hoping he pulls through this difficult time.<\/p>\n
