Marizanne Kapp creates history in Women’s World Cup<\/p>\n<\/figure>\n

South Africa pacer Marizanne Kapp scripted history on Wednesday, achieving a phenomenal bowling milestone against England in the ICC Women\u2019s World Cup semi-final in Guwahati. The right arm quick bagged a five-wicket haul and went past former India pacer Jhulan Goswami to register the most number of wickets in the Women\u2019s ODI World Cup.<\/p>\n

Kapp began her day with a double-wicket maiden, becoming only the second cricketer in the world to achieve this feat. The right-arm quick bowled a length delivery, nipping right through the Jones\u2019 defence to reduce England to 0\/1 on the second ball of their chase. She struck again to knock over Heather Knight, who dragged a length delivery outside off into the stumps.<\/p>\n

Kapp returned with her third spell, fiercer than what she delivered before. She removed Nat Sciver-Brunt, who was the top scorer for England with a 76-ball 64, followed by another double strike, which saw Sophia Dunkley and Charlie Dean fall on consecutive deliveries in the 31st<\/sup> over.<\/p>\n

The five-wicket haul took Kapp\u2019s tally of wickets in the Women\u2019s World Cup to 44, surpassing Goswami\u2019s record of 43 in 34 appearances for India.<\/p>\n
