Aneet Padda turned 23 earlier this month and celebrated her birthday with her loved ones. The actress rose to overnight fame after featuring in Mohit Suri\u2019s romance drama Saiyaara, also starring Ahaan Panday. Aneet has now taken to Instagram to pen an appreciation post for Mohit, sharing unseen pictures from her birthday celebration with the filmmaker.<\/p>\n

Aneet wrote on Instagram, \u201cMomo makes me smile, momo helps me try. I love momo.” The actress also shared adorable selfies with the filmmaker. Her fans couldn\u2019t stop gushing over her beautiful bond with the director of her debut film. Have a look at the post here:<\/p>\n

How Was Aneet Padda Cast In Mohit Suri\u2019s Saiyaara?<\/strong><\/p>\n

In a conversation with Bollywood Hungama, Mohit shared that the role demanded a young woman between 20 to 22 years old, someone untouched by cosmetic procedures\u2014something he admitted was \u201crare in today\u2019s age.”<\/p>\n

\u201cThat was a major requirement,” he said. \u201cI didn\u2019t expect it to be such a bigger requirement. Not only that, I needed someone who felt real, someone who hadn\u2019t something to themselves. She had done some work before, and she was brilliant at it.”<\/p>\n

Mohit said Aneet\u2019s authenticity made her perfect for the role of a middle-class Punjabi girl from Amritsar. \u201cShe just fit right in,” he said, adding, \u201cWe often have the wrong idea of what small-town India is like\u2014they\u2019re actually more conventionally \u2018out there\u2019 than we are. She had more to share with me than I had with her.”<\/p>\n

Aneet reportedly auditioned for several filmmakers prior to Saiyaara, including Anurag Kashyap and Kunal Deshmukh. Even YRF\u2019s casting head, Shanoo Sharma, had vouched for her talent. \u201cThat\u2019s when I knew she was good,” Mohit said. As for her performance, Suri believes Aneet is \u201cpredominantly a great actor,” especially for the layered role she was entrusted with in the emotionally charged romantic drama.<\/p>\n

Aneet Padda\u2019s Upcoming Projects<\/strong><\/p>\n

Aneet Padda has been cast in Shakti Shalini as the titular character. With this film, she will officially join Shraddha Kapoor, Akshay Kumar, Rajkummar Rao, Rashmika Mandanna and Pankaj Tripathi, among others, in the MHCU. She also has a courtroom drama lined up.<\/p>\n
