Australia have announced a change in their T20I squad for the upcoming five-match series with world champions India.<\/h2>\n

Two days out from the start of their five-match T20I series with world champions, Australia have been forced to announce a replacement player after star spinner Adam Zampa made himself unavailable. Zampa\u2019s wife Harriet is expecting their second child and the leggie will miss the start of the series with Tanveer Sangha added to the T20I squad.<\/p>\n

Zampa, who is the leading wicket-taker for Australia in T20Is, also missed the first ODI of a three-match series against India earlier this month but featured in the next two matches as the world champions won 2-1.<\/p>\n

The 23-year-old Sangha has played seven T20Is for Australia \u2013 all between August and December of 2023 with the last of those against India in Bengaluru. He took an impressive 4\/31 on his T20I debut against South Africa.<\/p>\n

Sangha has so far taken 10 wickets at an economy of 8.89.<\/p>\n

Australia had recently announced a series of changes for the five T20Is with the Ashes 2025-26 on the horizon. The squad, led by Mitchell Marsh, will see the return of Glenn Maxwell for the final three matches after recovering from a wrist fracture.<\/p>\n

Fast bowler Josh Hazlewood will feature in the opening two matches while Sean Abbott is available for the first three matches. The duo will feature in the Sheffield Shield \u2013 Australia\u2019s top-flight red-ball competition \u2013 to prepare for the Ashes.<\/p>\n

Uncapped Mahli Beardman is a surprise inclusion and will be part of the squad for the last three fixtures. The series gets underway from October 29 in Canberra.<\/p>\n
