Smriti Mandhana broke another record as India\u2019s ICC World Cup 2025 match against Bangaldesh at the Dr DY Patil Sports Academy in Navi Mumbai was washed out on Sunday.<\/p>\n

Smriti hit her 150th boundary in 2025 as he already leads the charts for most boundaries hit in the year.<\/p>\n

What Happened In IND vs BAN?<\/h2>\n

India and Bangladesh shared points after their Women\u2019s World Cup match was abandoned due to rain on Sunday.<\/p>\n

India was chasing a revised target of 126 in a 27-over-a-side game and had reached 57 without loss in 8.4 overs when another spell of rain led to the umpires calling off the match.<\/p>\n

Earlier, Indian bowlers had restricted Bangladesh to 119 for 9 in the rain-affected game.<\/p>\n

Sharmin Akhter was the top scorer for Bangladesh with 36 runs.<\/p>\n

The left-arm spin pair of Sree Charani and Radha Yadav were the standout Indian bowlers, taking two and three wickets respectively.<\/p>\n

What Records Did Smriti Break?<\/h2>\n

The star opening batter\u2019s sublime knock of 109 off just 95 deliveries against New Zealand in the previous match etched her name in women\u2019s cricket history. With this century \u2014 her 14th in One-Day Internationals \u2014 Mandhana surpassed New Zealand stalwart Suzie Bates (13) to move into second place on the all-time list of most hundreds in women\u2019s ODIs. She now trails only Australia\u2019s iconic Meg Lanning, who holds 15. The milestone underscored her remarkable consistency and her pivotal role as the backbone of India\u2019s batting order.<\/p>\n

This hundred also placed her alongside skipper Harmanpreet Kaur as the joint holder of the record for most centuries by an Indian in Women\u2019s World Cups, both now boasting three apiece. The achievement further strengthens her stature among India\u2019s modern greats, placing her in elite company with the legendary Mithali Raj, who has two World Cup centuries to her name.<\/p>\n

Mandhana currently holds the record for the most sixes struck by a women\u2019s cricketer in 2025 \u2014 an astonishing 29 and counting.<\/p>\n
