India captain Harmanpreet Kaur said her played excellent cricket during the league stage after their ICC World Cup 2025 match against Bangaldesh at the Dr DY Patil Sports Academy in Navi Mumbai was washed out.<\/p>\n

She added that everyone contributed when it was crucial and when asked about India\u2019s next match in the semifinal against defending champions Australia on Thursday.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhatever we thought we have achieved and hopefully Pratika will also be fine for the next game,” the captain said at the post-match presentation.<\/p>\n

The Indian skipper expressed hope that injured opener Pratika Rawal would recover in time for the semifinal after she twisted her ankle while fielding during the abandoned against on Sunday.<\/p>\n

Rawal, stationed at deep midwicket, injured her right ankle on the final ball of the 21st over when her foot got stuck in the wet field at DY Patil Stadium.<\/p>\n

\u201cPratika is being monitored by the medical team and hopefully they\u2019ll (medical team) get back soon. It\u2019s a very important game for us (semifinal), we have played very good cricket in the league matches and everyone has contributed which we\u2019ll carry forward,” said Harmanpreet. Her team was comfortably positioned at 57 for no loss in 8.4 overs while chasing the revised target of 126 in 27 overs.<\/p>\n

Rawal has formed a strong partnership with Smriti Mandhana at the top, and Harmanpreet would want her fit for the knockout match against the seven-time champions.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe keep speaking about enjoying ourselves and that\u2019s what we want to do going forward. The way Radha (Yadav) played today gives us another option for the next game,” she said.<\/p>\n

Radha took three wickets to restrict Bangladesh to 119\/9.<\/p>\n

\u2018Few Close Games\u2019<\/h2>\n

Bangladesh captain Nigar Sultana mentioned that her team would need a couple of weeks to recover from their series of defeats in the tournament.<\/p>\n

Bangladesh managed to win only one game, finishing seventh with three points.<\/p>\n

\u201cMaybe it will take one or two weeks to recover. How we started the tournament gave us momentum and we played a few close games against England, Sri Lanka and South Africa. Some moments could have helped us win those.”<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019ve been working hard as a group and we know each other, it helps us on the ground. Our young players are giving 110 percent and they have given a lot of positives. There are a lot of things we can take from here which we will discuss, like the areas we can work on,” she said.<\/p>\n
