Actors Archana Puran Singh and Parmeet Sethi have found a new home \u2014 not on television or film sets, but on YouTube. What began as Archana\u2019s lighthearted lockdown videos has now grown into a full-fledged family channel, \u201cAAAP Ka Parivaar,” with nearly a million subscribers. From casual banter to food tastings and family chats, the couple and their sons, Ayushmaan and Aaryaman, invite viewers into their everyday life \u2014 and people can\u2019t seem to get enough.<\/p>\n

But according to Parmeet, their YouTube journey isn\u2019t just about creative satisfaction \u2014 it\u2019s also financially rewarding. In a recent conversation with Pinkvilla, the actor revealed that vlogging could actually be more profitable than traditional acting work. \u201cIf we decide to make this our full-time career, it\u2019ll pay us at least three times more than what films and television together pay us,” he said.<\/p>\n

Parmeet explained that the shift towards digital content is changing the entertainment industry fast. \u201cOTT platforms are trying to replace television, and to do that, they are lowering their standards,” he said candidly. \u201cThis doesn\u2019t make me happy \u2014 though there are a few exceptions.”<\/p>\n

He also shared his thoughts on the future of television, hinting at its possible decline. \u201cThere are chances television could fade out, except for news and live sports,” Parmeet said, adding that even those genres are now being taken over by streaming platforms.<\/p>\n

Calling this \u201cthe era of vlogging,” he explained how audiences today prefer raw, unfiltered content. \u201cThis kind of entertainment is very personal and democratic. It\u2019s real life \u2014 not something produced or scripted. A lot of people are gravitating towards that.”<\/p>\n

For Parmeet, YouTube isn\u2019t just a side hustle \u2014 it\u2019s a lasting investment. \u201cWe are like a life insurance company \u2014 YouTube keeps paying us the premium throughout our lives,” he joked. Still, he admitted that while the earnings are tempting, constant content creation comes with an emotional cost. \u201cYou need to be shameless, careless, and fearless to do something like that. People\u2019s reactions can start affecting you.”<\/p>\n

Despite the challenges, it\u2019s clear the Comedy Circus judge and her husband have struck a rare balance \u2014 blending creativity, family, and profit in a way few from Bollywood have managed.<\/p>\n
