Dubai revealed the 10.5-kg ‘Dubai Dress,’ the world’s heaviest gold dress, worth Rs 9.65 crore. <\/p>\n<\/figure>\n

Dubai has never shied away from setting new records in luxury. And this time, the city\u2019s fascination with opulence has taken a truly glittering form. The \u2018Dubai Dress,\u2019 created by Saudi Arabian jewellery house Al Romaizan Gold, has officially been named the world\u2019s heaviest gold dress, weighing an astonishing 10.5 kilograms and valued at $1.08 million (approximately Rs 9.65 crore).<\/p>\n

Far more than a fashion statement, this creation represents the seamless blend of jewellery artistry and haute couture \u2013 a rare instance where gold itself becomes fabric, and craftsmanship becomes wearable art.<\/p>\n

The Dubai Dress is composed of four intricate elements. Each element has been designed with precision and intent. A gold tiara weighing 398 grams crowns the ensemble, complemented by a pair of earrings (134.1 grams), a waist ornament called Hiyar (738.5 grams), and the pi\u00e8ce de r\u00e9sistance: a statement necklace that alone weighs a staggering 8.81 kilograms.<\/p>\n

Embedded within its gleaming structure are diamonds, rubies, and emeralds, which shimmer across motifs inspired by Middle Eastern symbolism \u2013 representing prosperity, beauty, and empowerment. Every inch of the design carries the influence of traditional Emirati culture, from the flowing carvings to the regal bracelet detailing that extends along the arm.<\/p>\n

The spectacular gown made its debut at the 56th Middle East Watch and Jewellery Show in Sharjah, the largest jewellery exhibition in the region, and earned official recognition from Guinness World Records. The event featured over 500 exhibitors and nearly 1,800 designers from across the world, but the Dubai Dress was its undisputed showstopper.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis masterpiece represents the UAE\u2019s vision to lead globally and showcases Dubai<\/a> as a premier destination for gold and jewellery enthusiasts, while celebrating the distinctive creativity of Emirati artisans,” said Mohsen Al Dhaibani, Deputy Manager at Al Romaizan Gold, during the unveiling. He added, \u201cBy setting this record, we are sending a message to the world: the UAE can seamlessly blend tradition with innovation, securing its place at the forefront of the global gold and jewellery industry.”<\/p>\n

The Dubai Dress isn\u2019t for sale. It\u2019s a travelling emblem of artistry. Al Romaizan plans to exhibit it across major global fashion and jewellery showcases in Europe and Asia, celebrating the craftsmanship that defines the Middle East\u2019s golden legacy.
