Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday took a jibe at his Pakistani counterpart Shehbaz Sharif on admitting\u00a0that he was swimming while India launched precision strikes on his country under \u2018Operation Sindoor\u2019.<\/p>\n

While participating in a special three-day discussion in the Lok Sabha on \u201cIndia\u2019s strong, successful and decisive Operation Sindoor in response to the terror attack in Pahalgam”, the Prime Minister said, \u201cIndia\u2019s army gave a decisive response when Pakistan chose to brazenly back terrorists. Our missiles reached the corners of Pakistan- something they did not even imagine. We forced them to stoop to their knees.”<\/p>\n

The PM said that after the Pahalgam terrorist attack, Pakistan Forces had an idea that\u00a0India would indeed\u00a0take major action. They started making nuclear threats. \u201cOn the intervening night of 6-7 May, India took action just as decided. Pakistan could not do anything. Our armed forces avenged 22nd April within 22 minutes with precision attacks.”<\/p>\n

PM Modi further said that after India\u2019s action on May 10, Pakistan begged for a ceasefire.<\/p>\n

\u201cPakistan said, \u201cBahut maara, ab jyada maar jhelne ki takat nahi hai.” They asked us to stop the war,” said the PM.<\/p>\n

He further said that after the attack, the armed forces were given free hand to take action against the terrorists.<\/p>\n

\u201cArmed Forces were given a free hand. They were told to decide the when, where and how\u2026We are proud that terrorists were punished, and it was such a punishment that the terrorist masterminds have sleepless nights even to this day.”<\/p>\n

The Pakistani Prime Minister had brazenly admitted that he was swimming while India launched precision strikes on his country under \u2018Operation Sindoor\u2019.<\/p>\n

During his address to an event held at the Pakistan Monument in May, he had also admitted that India\u2019s ballistic missiles hit Nur Khan Airbase and other sites on May 10, in a rare gesture that contradicted Pakistan\u2019s usual denial when it comes to Indian military action.<\/p>\n

\u201cAt around 2:30 am on May 10, General Syed Asim Munir called me on a secure line and informed me that India\u2019s ballistic missiles had hit Nur Khan Airbase and other areas. Our Air Force used homegrown technology to save our country, and they even used modern gadgets and technology on Chinese jets,” he said.<\/p>\n

\u201cAfter Fajr (Namaz), I went for a swim, carrying my secure phone with me. The phone rang for the second time\u2014it was General Asim Munir on the line. He informed me that Pakistan had retaliated against India,” he added while neglecting to mention to the audience that India had intercepted all the missiles and drones launched by Pakistan.<\/p>\n
