Ace India batter Smriti Mandhana on Thursday went past New Zealand\u2019s Suzie Bates to become the batter with the second-most hundreds in women\u2019s ODIs, after she played a brilliant knock against the Kiwis in the league stage encounter of the ongoing Women\u2019s World Cup.<\/p>\n

Mandhana is now second on the list of women with the most ODI hundreds, with 14 to her name, only behind former Australia captain Meg Lanning on the list, who retired with 15 ODI hundreds to her name.<\/p>\n

This knock also marked Mandhana\u2019s third hundred in Women\u2019s ODI World Cup history, equaling India skipper <\/span>Harmanpreet<\/span> Kaur\u2019s record for the most World Cup centuries by an Indian player.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Building on her brilliant form, Mandhana holds the record for the most sixes smacked by a women\u2019s player in 2025, with 29 maximums to her name, <\/span>a total which might increase, thanks to her dominant performance in the Women\u2019s World Cup.<\/span><\/p>\n

This hundred was <\/span>Mandhana\u2019s<\/span> fifth of the year, tying her with South Africa\u2019s <\/span>Tazmin<\/span> Brits for the most centuries scored in a calendar year, as the latter also notched five hundreds this year.<\/span><\/p>\n
