Fans of Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah were shocked last year when Kush Shah, who played Goli for 16 years, decided to leave the show. Nearly a year after his departure, Kush recently opened up about his experience on sets and feelings about exiting the beloved sitcom. He compared leaving the show to a breakup that happens on good terms. Kush also talked about the fun moments on set, especially working with Dilip Joshi, who plays Jethalal. He revealed that shooting scenes with the veteran star was so funny that he couldn\u2019t stop laughing. Despite trying to stay serious, Kush claimed it was really hard to keep a straight face during their scenes as the moments got too funny.<\/p>\n

While appearing on Just Kidding with Sid podcast, the young star said, \u201cWatch any of my scenes with Dilip sir. Zoom in on me, I\u2019m trying to control myself. I just can\u2019t act in those scenes. It\u2019s too funny. I start laughing. I burst out laughing. I just can\u2019t help it. It\u2019s too funny. Because it really is that funny.”<\/p>\n

Speaking about leaving Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah, Kush Shah explained, \u201cThey\u2019re like family. They\u2019re all so close. I was just talking about things like insecurities. In life, no one else can understand me the way they do, because they\u2019ve had a similar life, because they\u2019re like me. I hadn\u2019t experienced a breakup before, but it felt like one. You know, the kind of breakup that happens on good terms, it was like that. Like, \u2018Man, now I have to leave.\u2019 Taarak Mehta is my first love. It was crazy, I really had a great time.”<\/p>\n

Kush further spoke about how much he misses being on the set of Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah. He said that he spent 16 years and it became like a second home, where he spent more time than his actual house. He didn\u2019t just learn from the actors, but also from the people working behind the scenes, like the technical team, who he claims are very smart. During his journey, he experienced many things, sometimes he was teased or felt uncomfortable, but he also received a lot of love and care. Now that he\u2019s grown up, he makes fun of them. Looking back, he feels blessed. For him, the set wasn\u2019t just a workplace, it felt like home.<\/p>\n
