Rajinikanth celebrated Diwali with his family on Monday. The superstar\u2019s daughter Soundaryaa Rajinikanth took to her Instagram account to share a series of pics from their low-key Diwali celebration. In one picture, Rajinikanth is seen sitting on a sofa with his wife, while their two daughters stand behind them, gently placing their hands on their parents\u2019 shoulders.<\/p>\n

Sharing the pics, Soundaryaa shared, \u201cWishing you all a very Happy Deepavali.” Lakshmi Manchu commented, \u201cHappy Diwali Mittu and the entire family.”<\/p>\n

Earlier in the morning, fans of Rajinikanth gathered in large numbers outside his Poes Garden home hoping to catch even a small glimpse of their beloved Thalaiva. And they weren\u2019t disappointed. The superstar stepped out dressed in a simple white vesti and kurta, smiling ear to ear as he waved, folded his hands, and blew kisses at the cheering crowd. It was a true Diwali treat for his fans.<\/p>\n

The street outside his home buzzed with chants of \u201cHappy Diwali Thalaiva!” as Rajinikanth stood at the gate, greeting everyone with his trademark humility. He accepted gifts from fans, spoke to the press briefly, and took a moment to acknowledge the overwhelming love. Before heading back inside, he turned one last time to blow a few more kisses.<\/p>\n

Rajinikanth has had a packed schedule over the past year. In 2024, he appeared in an extended cameo in his daughter Aishwarya Rajinikanth\u2019s film Lal Salaam, which received mixed reviews. He also starred as a fierce police officer in TJ Gnanavel\u2019s Vettaiyan, alongside Amitabh Bachchan, Fahadh Faasil, and Rana Daggubati.<\/p>\n

This year, the superstar returned to the big screen in Lokesh Kanagaraj\u2019s Coolie, which featured a star-studded ensemble including Nagarjuna, Soubin Shahir, Aamir Khan, Upendra, and Shruti Haasan. He is currently filming Jailer 2 with director Nelson Dilipkumar. Additionally, a much-anticipated project featuring Rajinikanth and Kamal Haasan is in the works, though an official announcement is yet to be made.<\/p>\n
