Infosys employee headcount improved in Q2FY26.<\/p>\n<\/figure>\n

Infosys Q2 Results: <\/strong>Bengaluru-based IT services major Infosys reported a net addition of 8,203 employees for the quarter ended September 30, 2025, marking the fifth consecutive quarter of workforce growth. The company ended H1FY26 with 8,413 new employees, a sharp increase compared to just 548 additions in H1FY25. In Q1FY25, Infosys had added 210 employees.<\/p>\n

Attrition for the September quarter eased slightly to 14.3%, down from 14.4% in the previous quarter on a last-twelve-month basis. Jayesh Sanghrajka, CFO of Infosys, said the company has already hired around 12,000 freshers in the first half of FY26 and remains on track to onboard 20,000 freshers for the full fiscal year.<\/p>\n

Infosys\u2019 optimistic hiring outlook, supported by growing enterprise demand for AI and cloud services, contrasts sharply with Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), which recently announced a 2% workforce reduction amid challenges in reskilling and technological transitions.<\/p>\n

TCS, which reported its results last week, saw its employee count decline by over 19,000 in the quarter due to workforce rationalisation.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, Tech Mahindra added 4,197 employees sequentially in Q2FY26, though its IT headcount fell by 1,459 quarter-on-quarter (QoQ) and 2,090 year-on-year (YoY), bringing the total to 78,528.<\/p>\n

HCLTech, on the other hand, recorded a net addition of 3,489 employees during the September quarter, taking its total workforce to 226,640.<\/p>\n
