The BJP has released its first list of 71 candidates for the Bihar Assembly elections, which includes Deputy Chief Ministers Samrat Choudhary and Vijay Kumar Sinha.<\/h2>\n

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Tuesday unveiled its first list of 71 candidates for the upcoming Bihar assembly elections, leaving 30 seats yet to be announced.<\/p>\n

According to the list, Deputy Chief Ministers Samrat Choudhary and Vijay Kumar Sinha will contest from Tarapur and Lakhisarai, respectively.<\/p>\n

State Minister Nitin Nabin from Bankipur and Renu Devi will contest the Bihar elections from Bettiah.<\/p>\n

Among other prominent faces, Minister Mangal Pandey will contest from Sivan.<\/p>\n

On Sunday, the NDA officially announced its seat-sharing formula for the upcoming Bihar Assembly elections.<\/p>\n

Under the arrangement, the BJP and JD(U) will contest 101 seats each, while the Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) will contest 29 seats. The Rashtriya Lok Morcha (RLM) and Hindustani Awam Morcha (HAM) will contest six seats each.<\/p>\n

Following the announcement, Hindustani Awam Morcha (HAM) chief Jitan Ram Manjhi reaffirmed his unwavering loyalty to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and expressed confidence in the NDA\u2019s victory.<\/p>\n

\u201cI am heading to Patna now\u2026 By the way, let me tell you something I\u2019ve said before and I\u2019m saying again today\u2026 I, Jitan Ram Manjhi, will stand with the Honourable Prime Minister Narendra Modi Ji until my last breath,” Manjhi wrote in a post on X.<\/p>\n

\u201cThere will be prosperity in Bihar, with Nitish, Modi ji\u2019s government will be there,” he added.<\/p>\n

Speaking to the media on Monday, the BJP\u2019s Bihar chief Dilip Jaiswal reiterated the NDA\u2019s unity after successfully reaching a common consensus on seat-sharing.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe NDA alliance has announced the seat-sharing arrangement. I have been saying from the beginning that we five \u2018Pandavas<\/em>\u2018 will contest the Bihar assembly elections with complete unity. We have announced the seat-sharing arrangement first and will start announcing the candidates from this evening,” he said.<\/p>\n

The 243 Assembly seats will go to the polls in two phases on November 6 and November 11, with counting of votes to be held on November 14.<\/p>\n

This upcoming electoral contest will be between the NDA, led by the BJP, and Janata Dal (United) (JD(U)), and the INDIA bloc, led by Tejashwi Yadav of the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD).<\/p>\n
