Abhinav Kashyap claims Salman Khan refused to touch Om Puri\u2019s feet in Dabangg and cut significant roles of other actors, including Arbaaz Khan and Mahie Gill.<\/h2>\n

Filmmaker Abhinav Kashyap, Anurag Kashyap’s brother, called Salman Khan a criminal recently.<\/p>\n<\/figure>\n

Abhinav Kashyap has been accusing Salman Khan<\/a> for quite a long time now. In a fresh accusation, the Dabangg director claimed that Salman Khan had problems with the length of other actors\u2019 roles and forcefully managed to chop them off. Kashyap also claimed that Salman refused to touch Om Puri\u2019s feet in a scene and later asked him to alter it.<\/p>\n

While speaking to Bollywood Thikana, Abhinav said, \u201cDabangg originally was 2.45 hours long, but they forced me to shorten it, and I reduced it to 2 hours and 20 minutes. But Salman had more problem with others\u2019 roles than the length of the film. He cut Arbaaz\u2019s whole role. The matter of Arbaaz\u2019s role was settled between these brothers, but Mahie Gill also did a role in the film. She was the second lead in the film, but they cut most of her role; they ruined her career.”<\/p>\n

\u201cOm Puri sahab had 5\u20136 scenes in the film, and they were good scenes. He had agreed to do the film only after hearing those scenes. But Salman refused to do a scene with Om Puri in which his character of Chulbul Pandey had to touch Om Puri\u2019s feet. He said very arrogantly, \u2018I won\u2019t touch his feet.\u2019 He made me rewrite that scene 5\u20136 times till it was to his satisfaction,” Kashyap claimed, adding that this behaviour of Salman left the veteran actor angry.<\/p>\n

He further recalled that when Om Puri went to speak to Salman, the actor just sat there and rudely asked him to leave the film if he had problems. \u201cOm Puri ji was angry. I went to him to give it a last shot, and I told him that I would really like to have him in my film. He asked me if it is my first film, and when I said yes, he said I will do this for you,” Kashyap added.<\/p>\n

Abhinav Kashyap Remarks On Salman Khan<\/strong><\/p>\n

The tension between Salman Khan and Abhinav Kashyap dates back to the making of Dabangg<\/a> (2010), one of Bollywood\u2019s biggest hits. Abhinav, who directed the film, had a public falling-out with the Dabangg team soon after its release. What began as creative disagreements over credit and production control escalated into an ugly war of words.<\/p>\n

In the years that followed, Abhinav accused Salman and his family of interfering with his work and attempting to \u201csabotage” his career in the industry. His remarks were fiery, calling Salman vindictive and controlling. The filmmaker alleged that after he walked away from Dabangg 2, he was systematically pushed out of major projects.<\/p>\n

Abhinav, who is also filmmaker Anurag Kashyap\u2019s brother, further called Salman Khan a \u2018criminal\u2019 and went on to say that his family is \u2018not normal\u2019.<\/p>\n
