Saif Ali Khan and Amrita Singh\u2019s son Ibrahim Ali Khan made his acting debut with the film \u2018Nadaaniyan\u2019, co-starring Khushi Kapoor. Directed by debutant Shauna Gautam, the film tanked and faced heavy trolling and backlash after its Netflix release. Now, in a recent interview with Esquire India, Ibrahim Ali Khan has openly admitted that it was a \u2018really bad film\u2019, and went on to share how the brutal trolling affected him. He said that if he delivers a blockbuster in the future, he wants audiences to go equally wild with praise, as they were with the trolling.<\/p>\n

Ibrahim Ali Khan Calls Nadaaniyan A \u2018Really Bad Film\u2019<\/strong><\/h2>\n

While speaking about his debut film Nadaaniyan\u2019s failure, Ibrahim Ali Khan told Esquire India, \u201cNot too long ago, they were all waiting for my launch, and after\u00a0Nadaaniyan, the hype has dropped real bad. They\u2019ve trolled me nonstop. \u2018He won\u2019t be able to do it only\u2019. It\u2019s a massive low\u2026 and I constantly feel bad about it.” He then acknowledged that it was indeed a bad film. \u201cI\u2019m just gonna go on record and say that it was a really bad film,” he said.<\/p>\n

Ibrahim Ali Khan On Facing Non-Stop Trolling<\/strong><\/h2>\n

He further went on to share how the trolling took a toll on him. \u201cIt was really bad. It became a sort of culture to, \u2018Oh, let\u2019s troll that film\u2019. There were people who were trolling it just because they heard that some other person was trolling it. That\u2019s uncalled for, but if I now give a blockbuster in the future, I want the same kind of response. They should go mad after me,” said Ibrahim.<\/p>\n

Ibrahim further added that while he did not necessarily take his chance for granted, he stepped into the film industry with a \u2018Ho jaayega\u2019 attitude. He said that he was working very hard, and still is, but feels he may have rushed into his debut project. \u201cOf course, I was working very hard\u2014like I\u2019m still working hard on my speech issue. But in a way, I feel I must have rushed into that movie. I was 21 when I began shooting for it\u2014others around me are doing it at 26, 27, 28\u2014and I now think I could have been more mindful of the scale of what was going to happen,” he said.<\/p>\n

Nadaaniyan marked Shauna Gautam\u2019s directorial debut, while Ibrahim\u2019s second project, Sarzameen, was also the debut for director Kayoze Irani, son of Boman Irani. Up next, Ibrahim will make his theatrical debut with \u2018Diler\u2019, a sports drama directed by Kunal Deshmukh.<\/p>\n
