Dhanteras 2025 witnessed strong customer demand across the country, with sales volumes matching last year\u2019s levels and overall value rising by over 25%. The buying momentum came despite a sharp correction in gold prices after a record-breaking rally.<\/p>\n

In the International spot market, gold was down 0.94 per cent to trade at $4,249.95 per ounce. Silver, however, saw a sharp correction with a fall of 3.84 per cent to trade at $51.91 per ounce.<\/p>\n

According to the All India Sarafa Association, gold of 99.9% purity jumped by Rs 3,200 on Friday to hit an all-time high of Rs 1,34,800 per 10 grams.<\/p>\n

In the local bullion market, gold of 99.5% purity slipped by over Rs 3,000 to Rs 1,31,010 per 10 grams (inclusive of all taxes) after touching a record high of Rs 1,34,200 in the previous session.<\/p>\n

Extending losses for the second consecutive session, silver prices also dropped by Rs 7,000 on Saturday to Rs 1,72,000 per kilogram (inclusive of all taxes).<\/p>\n

The metal had settled at Rs 1,72,000 per kg on Friday.<\/p>\n

Prices of the yellow metal have surged over 60% this year, far exceeding expectations and showing little sign of cooling. Now trading at an all-time high of over Rs 1,30,000 per 10 grams, gold\u2019s rally has been fuelled by strong safe-haven demand, aggressive central bank purchases, a weakening rupee, and expectations of further rate cuts by the US Federal Reserve.<\/p>\n

In Mumbai, the price of 24-carat gold stood at Rs 1,30,860 per 10 grams, while 22k gold was available at Rs 1,19,950 per 10 grams. These figures reflect gold\u2019s closing price on Friday.<\/p>\n

Silver Prices May Hit $60: Report<\/h2>\n

Silver may see an upside of around 20% over the next one year, with prices expected to reach $60 per ounce, according to the latest outlook by Emkay Wealth Management, the wealth and advisory arm of Emkay Global Financial Services. The report attributes this bullish forecast to a growing industrial demand and a persistent supply deficit of nearly 20%, which is likely to continue in the foreseeable future.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
