Actor-couple Rajkummar Rao<\/a> and Patralekhaa are on cloud nine as they are all set to embrace the sweetest phase of their lives. The couple is expecting their first child together, and this year\u2019s celebration of the festival of lights, Diwali, has become even more special for them. As the festival approaches, the mom-to-be shared how she\u2019s feeling.<\/p>\n

Speaking to HT, the actress said, \u201cWe are super excited. Firstly, the baby\u2019s coming, and also, professionally, our first production is going to come out in a couple of months. We are also editing our second film. So there\u2019s a lot happening, and it\u2019s an exciting phase.”<\/p>\n

\u201cMe being pregnant has been the source of light for me this year. It\u2019s actually a very strange journey that you take. It\u2019s difficult because physically you look different \u2014 your body changes in these nine months. It can also be a bit overwhelming because there\u2019s a new member who\u2019s going to join your family,” she added, opening up about her pregnancy journey so far.<\/p>\n

For Patralekhaa, it\u2019s no longer just the two of them. \u201cI don\u2019t feel like it\u2019s the two of us anymore because the baby is right there, ready to arrive,” she said while talking about their Diwali rituals. \u201cRaj and I are quite spiritual. Since the time we got married, we\u2019ve had a Diwali puja every year without fail. Raj is also quite particular about his mandir \u2014 he loves it, as it\u2019s the place where he sits and meditates the most. He cleans up the whole space himself. Sometimes the pandit ji comes, and sometimes even Raj performs the puja.”<\/p>\n

The couple took to Instagram to share the heartwarming news that they\u2019re expecting their first child together.<\/a><\/p>\n

In a delicate, pastel-toned post featuring a floral wreath and a cradle, the words \u201cBaby on the way” appear with their names \u2014 Patralekhaa & Rajkummar \u2014 written underneath. Rajkummar captioned the post simply, \u201cElated \u2764\ufe0f\u2764\ufe0f,” perfectly summing up the joy of this special moment.<\/p>\n

Rajkummar Rao and Patralekhaa\u2019s relationship<\/strong><\/p>\n

Their love story is one of Bollywood\u2019s most heartfelt romances. The two first met over a decade ago, and their bond has only grown stronger with time. Rajkummar has often said he knew she was \u201cthe one” from the moment he saw her in an ad, and their connection blossomed when they worked together in the film CityLights in 2014.<\/p>\n

In October 2021, Rajkummar proposed to Patralekhaa in an intimate ceremony, and the two tied the knot a month later on November 15 in Chandigarh. Their wedding was a quiet, beautiful affair attended by close friends and family. Patralekhaa wore a red sari with a Bengali verse embroidered on her veil, while Rajkummar looked elegant in ivory.<\/p>\n
