Windows 10 support ends this week which means Microsoft will have people upgrading to new PCs or continue risking their old ones.<\/h2>\n

It is October 14, 2025 which means the official Windows 10 support ends today and this means millions of PC users across the globe will have a couple of options; either they can buy the updates for the Windows 10 version or upgrade to a new Windows 11 PC altogether.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

The official support deadline was shared a few years back, and many believed that Microsoft would have to extend the timeline because of the number of PCs still running on the older version.<\/p>\n

You could also say that Microsoft has found a clever way to make people upgrade to Windows 11 PC (spending around a lakh) which may sound easy but not viable for everyone still using Windows 10 on their system.<\/p>\n

The ESU program for the regular Windows users offers one year support which costs them $30 (Rs 2,550 approx) which is quite nominal. We\u2019re not sure how much people in India will have to pay for the extension.<\/p>\n

You can redeem 1000 Microsoft Reward points, for which the company says you need a Microsoft account and earn points by using Bing to search the web, shop at the Microsoft Store, play Xbox games, and complete other tasks.<\/p>\n

Windows users can also get a free extension by backing up all their data to the Windows Backup cloud app. There are no free lunches these days but Microsoft is at least giving you a good deal for the meal<\/p>\n
