Hyderabad-based Megha Engineering & Infrastructures Ltd (MEIL) has secured a USD 225.5 million contract from Kuwait Oil Company (KOC) to build, operate, and manage a new gas sweetening and sulphur recovery facility in Kuwait\u2019s oilfields. KOC also holds an option to buy back the facility once it\u2019s completed.<\/p>\n

According to a Reuters report, the project, slated for completion in 790 days, will be followed by five years of operation and maintenance. The facility is designed to treat sour gas and process around 120 million standard cubic feet per day.<\/p>\n

MEIL, founded in 1989, has a track record of major projects, including constructing electrical reactors for NPCIL and establishing a crude refinery plant in Mongolia. This latest order is part of the company\u2019s strategy to strengthen its footprint in the Middle East.<\/p>\n
