Google Meet has introduced an AI-powered virtual makeup feature that promises to transform how users appear in online meetings, and perhaps even save them a trip to the dressing table. The new tool lets users apply virtual foundation, lipstick, and blush in real time, delivering a studio-quality finish that adapts naturally to movement and lighting conditions.<\/p>\n

The update builds on last year\u2019s \u201cPortrait Touch-Up” mode and expands Google\u2019s suite of appearance-enhancing tools designed to make users feel more confident and expressive on camera. The new version introduces 12 studio-quality makeup looks that blend seamlessly with a user\u2019s facial features and gestures. Whether one opts for subtle, professional tones or bold, expressive styles, the AI ensures a realistic effect, even during everyday actions like sipping coffee or turning the head.<\/p>\n

Google Product Manager Daniela, in a demonstration cited by TOI, showcased how the AI makeup adjusts to facial contours and lighting while maintaining a natural appearance throughout the call.<\/p>\n

The feature is available on both web and mobile versions of Google Meet and is being rolled out gradually from October 8. It is currently accessible to select users, including those on Google Workspace Business Standard, Business Plus, Enterprise, Education Plus, and Google One premium plans.<\/p>\n

Users can manually enable the feature from the Meet settings before or during a meeting. The tool is off by default, but once activated, preferred looks are automatically saved for future sessions. No administrator action is required for deployment, TOI reported.<\/p>\n

Beyond aesthetics, the feature is designed to enhance comfort and confidence for users navigating the growing culture of remote communication. As Google noted, the innovation underscores its commitment to making video interactions more inclusive and user-friendly, merging artificial intelligence with personal expression to ensure that users not only stay connected but also feel confident in every frame.<\/p>\n
