When Samantha Ruth Prabhu starred in Allu Arjun\u2019s Pushpa: The Rise song \u2018Oo Antava\u2019, she left everyone gasping for breath. The track was widely loved by all for its hotness and Samantha\u2019s<\/a> never-before-seen avatar. Recently, the actress also opened up about the song as she attended the NDTV World Summit 2025 on Friday in New Delhi.<\/p>\n

\u201cI did Oo Antava to see if I could. It was a challenge that I gave myself. I never considered myself sexy. No one was ever going to give me a \u2018bold role\u2019. It was a one-time thing,” Samantha said, when asked about performing the popular Telugu song Oo Antava.<\/p>\n

Samantha further talked about her journey in the film industry and added, \u201cI\u2019m very ambitious. Ambition should not just run wild, it should come with some purpose. It is important for youth today to select their mentors very carefully\u2026 I selected my mentors very carefully who changed the trajectory of my life. That is the reason more people in higher positions must also be very responsible.”<\/p>\n

Samantha Felt \u2018Uncomfortable\u2019 Shooting Oo Antava<\/h4>\n

This is not the first time that Samantha has opened up about shooting the track. Previously too, the actress recalled that her legs were shivering while filming the song and went on to say that it was \u2018very difficult\u2019.<\/p>\n

\u201cI have always operated from a space of \u2018I\u2019m not good enough, I don\u2019t feel pretty, I don\u2019t look like the other girls.\u2019 So for me, it was a huge challenge. It was actually the first shot of \u201cOo Antava”\u2026 I was shaking from fear because sexy is not my thing. It\u2019s not my thing. But how I\u2019ve grown both as an actor and as a person is I\u2019ve always made sure that I put myself in the most uncomfortable, unforgiving, very difficult circumstances,” Samantha told India Today.<\/p>\n

The actress admitted that she did not feel very confident but decided to do Oo Antava because she wanted to explore something new. \u201cI think that, for me, it was the lyrics. It was a challenge. And I think we can move past judging women for wanting to look good. We can do everything. We can look good,” she added.<\/p>\n

Samantha\u2019s Latest And Next Movie<\/h4>\n

Samantha was last seen in Citadel Honey Bunny with Varun Dhawan. While the show was loved by all, it was recently reported that Citadel will not be renewed for a second season. The second season of the Indian spin-off of Priyanka Chopra and Richard Madden\u2019s show has been cancelled.<\/p>\n

Samantha is now in Hyderabad. As reported by Telugu 360, the actress is in the city to commence the shoot of her next Telugu film. Reportedly, Samantha is collaborating with Nandini Reddy for this project, the script of which is written by Raj and DK. Titled Maa Inti Bangaram, the shooting of the film is likely to begin later this month.<\/p>\n
