Remember Koo, the made in India app that was eyeing X (formerly Twitter) and had to shut down? The company and brains behind that platform have now come out with a new app that can scan for photos in the gallery and make it easy to share.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

PicSee is the latest app vying for a spot on your phone and Mayank Bidwatka, co-founder of this platform is trying to find the right balance between convenience and user privacy. <\/span><\/p>\n

PicSee claims to be an AI-powered app that will scan for your photos and seamlessly share with friends. The AI tool is entrusted with looking for your friends in these photos and sending them an invite to share with each other.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

PicSee AI-Powered Photo Sharing: How It Works?<\/strong>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The company is using facial recognition to look for photos with your friends. Once it finds the photos, the person is sent an invite and once both parties agree to share images, the app does the last leg of its work. This process continues in the background and will assist with more photos as they are clicked. PicSee also gives a 24-hour timeline during which you can remove or add more photos that are to be shared.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Photo Sharing With AI But Is It Safe?<\/strong>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Any app using AI to do tasks behind the scenes brings privacy concerns to the forefront and the company seems to have worked out that part for the users. PicSee ensures that all the photos stay on the device and they are encrypted when the transfer happens. <\/span><\/p>\n

The platform will not let you take screenshots which is a good move, and gives people full control of which pictures the app can review. We\u2019ll be taking a closer look at PicSee and see if these claims match up in real-time usage.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

PicSee has been around since July 2025 and it claims to have users in over 27 countries. It also points out that more than 150,000 photos have been shared using the app and many have warmed up to the system of AI doing the sharing business. <\/span><\/p>\n
