Amit Shah stated that the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) will be contesting the Bihar elections under the leadership of Nitish Kumar.\u00a0<\/h2>\n

Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Friday cleared the air over the Chief Ministerial face in the upcoming Bihar polls and stated that the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) will be contesting the elections under the leadership of Nitish Kumar.<\/p>\n

Shah further said that while the NDA is contesting polls under Nitish Kumar\u2019s leadership, the alliance is led by Prime Minister Narednra Modi.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe are contesting the elections only under the leadership of Nitish Kumar ji and NDA has been led by our PM Modi. The BJP has full trust in him and the people of Bihar have full trust in him,” Amit Shah said.<\/p>\n

When asked whether Nitish Kumar would be made chief minister again if the NDA retains power, the former BJP president, during an interview with India Today, replied, \u201cWho am I to decide who will become the chief minister? There are many parties in the alliance. After the elections, the legislative party leaders of our alliance partners will sit and decide on their leader.”<\/p>\n

Bihar is going for the high-stakes elections next month, scheduled in two phases on November 6 and 11. The results of the polls will be announced on November 14.<\/p>\n

NDA\u2019s Seat Sharing Pact<\/p>\n

Amid the ongoing speculations of rift in NDA, the seat-sharing for BJP, Nitish Kumar\u2019s JD(U), Chiraj Pawan\u2019s LJP (Ram Vilas Paswan) and Jitan Ram Manjhi\u2019s Hindustan Awam Morcha (HAM) was announced with both BJP and JD(U) set to fight over 101 seats each.<\/p>\n

The upcoming electoral contest is set to witness a tough fight between the NDA, led by the BJP and JD(U), and the INDIA bloc, led by Tejashwi Yadav of the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) and Congress.<\/p>\n
