Samsung launched the Galaxy S25 Edge with a lot of hype but should the low sales force the company to change its refreshing stance?<\/h2>\n

The Galaxy S25 Edge sales have been low so will that mean the end of the series?<\/p>\n<\/figure>\n

Samsung is going back to its usual roots with the Galaxy S26 series next year and this means it might be the end of the Galaxy Edge model. Reports coming in this week via multiple sources suggest the company is not happy with the demand and sales of the Galaxy S25 Edge model and is planning to cancel the next Galaxy S26 Edge version altogether.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The brand has not officially confirmed this change but these reports are hardly surprising, especially since there have been rumours about Samsung killing the Galaxy S26 Plus model. But the U-turn from Samsung suggests we will continue to see the same three models announced once again at the Galaxy Unpacked 2026 event.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Too Early Or Right Call?<\/strong>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Samsung launched the Galaxy S25 Edge version with a lot of expectations but the hype subdued because of the delays in bringing it to the market. The talk around Apple\u2019s iPhone Air has a different tonality, even though early estimates indicate the Air is not really going to sell that big either.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

But the focus of Samsung seems more based on the sales numbers, while Apple is planning and looking at the big picture, i.e. the foldable iPhone which could use the thinness and lightness of the Air.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Does it make sense to kill a new and refreshing product this early, we\u2019re not sure but this is not our money and if the company feels they are better off cutting their losses at this stage rather than prolonging the lineup, that\u2019s their call too. The industry seems to be at the crossroads lately. <\/span><\/p>\n

Some are making phones with a battery as big as 8,000mAh but managing its heft with the use of silicon carbon technology. Maybe Samsung could rework its product design and have another go at it before calling the whole thing off? Either way we are eager to see if these reports prove to be the real deal. <\/span><\/p>\n
