The MLFF system enables electronic toll collection across multiple lanes without requiring vehicles to slow down or stop. It integrates technologies such as Radio-Frequency Identification (RFID), ANPR, Dedicated Short-Range Communication (DSRC), and Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) to facilitate barrier-free tolling.<\/p>\n
The toll plazas were awarded through a tender issued by Indian Highways Management Company Limited (IHMCL) under India\u2019s pilot MLFF project, aimed at enhancing traffic flow and commuter convenience on national highways. JPBL has now won two of the five MLFF tenders awarded so far.
JPBL began managing FASTag-based toll collection at 11 other highway plazas in July 2025. With the addition of the MLFF plazas, the bank will expand its role in infrastructure-linked digital payments and toll processing across the country.<\/p>\n
Vinod Easwaran, Managing Director & CEO of JPBL, said the initiative aligns with the bank\u2019s goal to digitize everyday payments and improve financial infrastructure for commuters.<\/p>\n
The company also plans to explore synergies with Jio Platforms to support its toll management operations and strengthen digital payments across highways.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
