With the Bihar assembly polls drawing closer, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has begun tightening its campaign strategy centered around \u2018Vikas aur Vishwas\u2019 (development and trust), preparing to go full throttle with the slogan\u2014\u201cNitish ka Naam, Modi ka Kaam [Nitish\u2019s name, Modi\u2019s work]”. The party aims to highlight the performance of the Modi government, while backing chief minister Nitish Kumar as the face of stability within the NDA.<\/p>\n

As part of its groundwork, the BJP has divided all 40 Lok Sabha constituencies in Bihar among three key election in-charges to ensure micro-level management across 243 assembly seats.<\/p>\n

Dharmendra Pradhan, the main election in-charge, will oversee 14 Lok Sabha constituencies, covering 87 assembly seats. CR Patil and Keshav Prasad Maurya have been assigned 13 constituencies each, managing around 78 assembly seats each.<\/p>\n

Patil will coordinate campaign activities in Katihar, Purnia, Araria, Begusarai, Bhagalpur, Munger, Kishanganj, Samastipur, Madhepura, Jamui, Supaul, Nawada, and Khagaria. Maurya will manage East and West Champaran, Siwan, Saran, Gopalganj, Shivhar, Maharajganj, Muzaffarpur, Hajipur, Vaishali, Buxar, and Valmikinagar.<\/p>\n

All three election in-charges will focus not only on BJP-held seats but across the entire NDA fold, ensuring coordination and campaign synergy.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, seat-sharing talks within the NDA are expected to take place on Thursday, with Chirag Paswan also scheduled to meet Dharmendra Pradhan the same day. According to sources, Jitan Ram Manjhi\u2019s Hindustani Awam Morcha (HAM) is likely to be allotted 10 seats, while Upendra Kushwaha\u2019s Rashtriya Loktantrik Party (RLP) may get seven. BJP and JD(U) are said to be considering 20-25 seats for Chirag Paswan\u2019s LJP (Ram Vilas), though Paswan is pushing for 35.<\/p>\n

The BJP is also chalking out a counter-strategy against political strategist Prashant Kishor (PK), acknowledging his potential to make an impact and being in a position to possibly win five to seven seats. Party insiders say efforts are underway to undermine PK\u2019s influence by portraying him and his team as mere \u201csocial media warriors”, detached from ground realities. PK, who is a Brahmin himself, is unlikely to make deep inroads in rural Bihar and his voters are likely to be the urban youth.<\/p>\n

With a sharpened focus on organisation, narrative building, and alliance cohesion, the BJP appears determined to turn Bihar into a high-stakes contest fought on the twin planks of development and trust.<\/p>\n

The Election Commission announced the schedule for the upcoming Bihar assembly polls on Monday, with the voting set to take place in two phases. The first phase will be held on November 6 and the second on November 11. The counting of votes will be on November 14.<\/p>\n
