Rahul Dravid’s son Anvay is making huge strides in the sport.<\/p>\n

Anvay Dravid, son of Rahul Dravid, will lead Karnataka in this season\u2019s Vinoo Mankad Trophy. Named after the legendary former India all-rounder, the Vinoo Mankad Trophy is India\u2019s premier 50-over cricket tournament for the under-10 age group. The 2025 edition will be held at Dehradun from October 9-17.<\/p>\n

Anvay will be the captain and the wicketkeeper for Karnataka. Anvay, 16, is seen as a promising wicketkeeper-batter in the Karnataka circles. He has captained previous age-group teams as well. His elder brother and Dravid\u2019s elder son, Samit, 19, has also represented Karnataka in the Vinoo Mankad Trophy, and is currently vying for a spot in the senior side, while also playing in the Maharaja T20 league.<\/p>\n

Karnataka squad for Vinoo Mankad Trophy:<\/strong> Anvay Dravid (captain, wk), Nitish Arya, Adarsh D Urs, S Manikanth (vice-captain), Praneeth Shetty, Vasav Venkatesh, Akshath Prabhakar, C Vaibhav, Kuldeep Singh Purohit, Rathan BR, Vaibhav Sharma, KA Tejas, Atharv Malviya, Sunny Kanchi, and Rehan Mohammed (wk).<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, India batter Karun Nair will turn out for Karnataka after a two-season break, after being named in the state squad for the opening Ranji Trophy match against Saurashtra, beginning in Rajkot from October 15.<\/p>\n

Karun rejoined the state side ahead of this season from Vidarbha, where he played a major hand in the team\u2019s victorious Ranji Trophy campaign last season. Nair left Karnataka for the Nagpur-based team after some reported issues with a few decision-makers on the board, but was requested to return before this year.<\/p>\n

The middle-order batter was earlier named in the probables.<\/p>\n

Mayank Agarwal will continue to lead Karnataka, who have named some new faces such as Kruthika Krishna, Shikhar Shetty, and Mohsin Khan.<\/p>\n
