In a new interview, Sunjay Kapur\u2019s sister Mandhira Kapur Smith revealed that her late brother and Karisma Kapoor were working to mend their marriage after their son Kiaan\u2019s birth.<\/p>\n<\/figure>\n

The Kapur family has once again found itself in the spotlight after Mandhira Kapur Smith, the sister of late businessman Sunjay Kapur, made explosive claims about his third wife, Priya Sachdev. In a candid conversation with entertainment journalist Vickey Lalwani, Mandhira alleged that Priya was responsible for causing a rift between Sunjay and his second wife, actor Karisma Kapoor.<\/p>\n

The comments come in the wake of Sunjay\u2019s passing, which has reportedly triggered a \u20b930,000 crore inheritance dispute between Priya and the children he shared with Karisma Kapoor.<\/p>\n

\u2018She Used To Message Him Constantly When He Was With Lolo\u2019<\/strong><\/p>\n

Speaking about the circumstances that led to the breakdown of Sunjay and Karisma\u2019s marriage, Mandhira claimed that Priya Sachdev pursued her brother during a vulnerable period in his relationship.<\/p>\n

\u201cYes, she used to message him constantly when he was with Lolo, and I know this for a fact,” Mandhira stated. \u201cIt\u2019s as simple as men are men. He was in a marriage, working on it, trying to fix it. He was not in the most stable place to say, \u2018Hey, I\u2019m not interested.\u2019”<\/p>\n

Mandhira accused Priya of knowingly inserting herself into a family that was attempting reconciliation. \u201cAs a woman, when someone has had a child and another child, and you\u2019ve also just gotten divorced, you know how painful it is. Then how and why would you come and break another family? What kind of upbringing is this? What kind of woman is that?” she questioned.<\/p>\n

\u2018Had He Been Left Alone, It Would Have Worked Out\u2019<\/strong><\/p>\n

Mandhira went on to claim that her brother was trying to save his marriage with Karisma, encouraged by their father and family. \u201cThere was a lot that happened that wasn\u2019t nice, but my father wanted them to work on it. Sanjay was going back and forth. They had a second kid\u2014 that doesn\u2019t happen out of thin air. It happens when you\u2019re working on a marriage,” she said. \u201cHad he been left alone, it would have worked out.”<\/p>\n

She acknowledged that Karisma had briefly returned to Mumbai due to unhappiness in the relationship but maintained that Sunjay was committed to repairing it. \u201cI know it takes two to clap, but as women, we know a man\u2019s weaker and a woman is always stronger,” she added.<\/p>\n

Priya Sachdev\u2019s Earlier Remarks On Her Marriage<\/strong><\/p>\n

Priya Sachdev, in a previous interview on the YouTube channel Kin and Kindness, had shared her side of the story, revealing that she met Sunjay while he was traveling between Delhi and Mumbai for work. \u201cWe became friends, and our friendship eventually led to our marriage after his divorce from Karisma,” she said.<\/p>\n

Speaking respectfully of Karisma and her children, Priya remarked, \u201cSunjay\u2019s previous marriage was not a conventional marriage. He had two beautiful children from that marriage. We love them dearly and today we are one beautiful blended family.”<\/p>\n

The resurfacing of Mandhira\u2019s claims has reignited public curiosity around one of Bollywood\u2019s most talked-about relationships. While neither Priya nor Karisma has responded to the latest allegations, the Kapur family\u2019s internal dynamics continue to draw attention years after their high-profile separations.<\/p>\n
