Sushant Divgikar penned a heartfelt post defending Jaya Bachchan against online trolls, revealing her lesser-known acts of kindness.<\/p>\n<\/figure>\n

Actor and performer Sushant Divgikar (also known as Rani KoHEnur) has come forward in support of veteran actress Jaya Bachchan, who has long been a target of social media trolling. In a heartfelt Instagram post, Sushant condemned the \u201cmerciless trolling and verbal abuse” directed at Jaya, urging people to look beyond the viral clips and understand the woman behind the public image.<\/p>\n

\u201cPeople Say the Nastiest Things About Her”<\/strong><\/p>\n

Sushant began their emotional note by addressing the negativity Jaya Bachchan faces online. \u201cThere is this narrative that has been created about her, and it\u2019s appalling to see how people that know nothing about her have been so quick to jump on the bandwagon and have said the nastiest things about this lady,” they wrote.<\/p>\n

\u201cJaya Ji Helped Hundreds of Kids Silently”<\/strong><\/p>\n

Recalling their first encounter with Jaya Bachchan, Sushant shared a touching story from when they were just 14 years old. Their parents were organizing the first-ever quiz competition for visually impaired, hearing-impaired, and autistic children with a Mumbai-based NGO, DEEDS. After several celebrities declined to participate, three stars \u2014 Raveena Tandon, Yuvraj Singh, and Jaya Bachchan \u2014 graciously agreed to attend the event free of cost.<\/p>\n

Sushant revealed that Jaya Bachchan not only attended but stayed in touch with their mother afterward, continuing to help numerous children across cities and villages. \u201cShe helped several children with education, monthly and yearly rations, and even supported their families with essential goods,” Sushant wrote. \u201cIn return, she only asked that the media not be there.”<\/p>\n

Jaya\u2019s Quiet Acts of Kindness<\/strong><\/p>\n

Sushant also revealed that Jaya once hosted a special screening of Paa for children living with HIV, followed by another screening for children battling cancer. \u201cShe even offered her home theatre to ensure the kids and their parents didn\u2019t risk allergies due to their fragile immunity,” they wrote.<\/p>\n

Calling her \u201cone of the most splendid artistes of the Indian film industry,” Sushant described Jaya as someone who \u201cchooses to quietly change lives” without seeking attention. \u201cEveryone has an opinion without knowing a person, and here is someone who has made so many live and smile,” the note added.<\/p>\n

\u201cI Want to Be Like Her”<\/strong><\/p>\n

In the caption accompanying the post, Sushant expressed their deep admiration for Jaya Bachchan. \u201cSo much going on in the world and yet, we choose to troll someone we know nothing about! Pranaam to Jaya Ji \u2014 I love her! I\u2019ve always told my mumma I wanted to be as graceful and giving as her when I grow up,” they wrote, tagging Amitabh and Abhishek Bachchan as well.<\/p>\n
