Bobby Deol opened up about a life-threatening accident during his debut film Barsaat, revealing how his brother Sunny Deol carried him on his shoulders after he broke his leg.<\/p>\n<\/figure>\n

Bobby Deol\u2019s love and reverence for his elder brother Sunny Deol have always been at the heart of his story \u2014 both personal and professional. Time and again, the Animal star has credited Sunny not only for shaping his outlook toward cinema but also for standing by him during some of the most testing moments of his life. In a recent interview with Radio Nasha Official, Bobby recalled a traumatic incident from the shoot of his debut film Barsaat (1995), when a severe accident nearly ended his career before it began \u2014 and how Sunny quite literally carried him to safety.<\/p>\n

Sunny Deol Became His Strength During a Life-Threatening Accident<\/strong><\/p>\n

Bobby recounted the horrifying day in vivid detail. \u201cI still remember, my leg broke in England during the shoot. I was riding a horse, bumped into another horse, lost balance, and fell hard on the ground. I saw one of my legs completely twisted. I tried to stand but collapsed again. Bhaiya (Sunny) was there \u2014 he lifted me onto his shoulders and carried me. All my strength came from him. Just knowing he was there made me feel like nothing bad could happen,” Bobby said emotionally.<\/p>\n

He added that Sunny immediately rushed him to the nearest hospital that night. But what followed could have been catastrophic. \u201cHe took me to a small hospital nearby, but later I found out the doctors said, \u2018We can\u2019t save his leg.\u2019 That\u2019s when Bhaiya got me airlifted to London overnight. I had surgery there. He\u2019s always been there for me,” Bobby revealed.<\/p>\n

The Pain That Never Left<\/strong><\/p>\n

Even decades later, Bobby still carries the memory \u2014 and the metal \u2014 of that accident. \u201cIt\u2019s been more than 30 years now. I still have a rod and screws in my leg, and while there\u2019s some discomfort and pain, I\u2019ve gotten used to it. But I can walk, run, dance, fight, jump, do action \u2014 what more does one need?” he said with gratitude, adding that the incident only deepened his respect for his elder brother\u2019s unwavering support.<\/p>\n

Bobby\u2019s Emotional Tribute to Sunny<\/strong><\/p>\n

This isn\u2019t the first time Bobby has called Sunny his \u201cSuperman.” On The Great Indian Kapil Show, Bobby had earlier said, \u201cIf there\u2019s someone in real life who\u2019s truly like Superman, it\u2019s Bhaiya. I\u2019ve never seen anyone stronger. Even after multiple back surgeries, when he\u2019s required to lift someone on set, he does it effortlessly, as if they weigh nothing.”<\/p>\n

The Deol brothers \u2014 Sunny, Bobby, and their legendary father Dharmendra \u2014 have long stood as one of Bollywood\u2019s most beloved families, bound by loyalty, humility, and an unshakable brotherhood that transcends the screen.<\/p>\n

After the roaring success of The Ba*ds of Bollywood on Netflix, Bobby Deol is gearing up for a power-packed slate ahead. He will next be seen in Anurag Kashyap\u2019s Bandar and in YRF\u2019s Alpha, the next installment in its spy universe, co-starring Alia Bhatt and Sharvari. The film is slated for a Christmas 2025 release.<\/p>\n
