War 2 Movie Update:<\/strong> The countdown to one of 2025\u2019s most anticipated action spectacles has officially begun, with the battle kicking off on social media. The film\u2019s leading stars, Hrithik Roshan and Jr NTR, have sent fans into a frenzy with a cheeky hashtag showdown that\u2019s quickly gone viral.<\/p>\n

It all started when Hrithik promoted War 2<\/a> by tagging co-star Jr NTR on X (formerly Twitter) and wrote, \u201cThe WAR lines are drawn again, and the hashtag says it all! For every update, every reveal, stick with #HrithikvsNTR. This is where the action begins! @tarak9999 #War2.”<\/p>\n

NTR countered this by saying, \u201c#War2 updates and exclusives? Hey @iHrithik we discussed it! There\u2019s only one hashtag to follow: #NTRvsHrithik. Stay tuned because this WAR is just getting started!” Hrithik cheekily replied, \u201cHaha, good one @tarak9999! But the hashtag is #HrithikvsNTR \u2013 Let\u2019s not complicate this, okay? #War2,” prompting NTR to land the final playful jab: \u201cAdmit it @iHrithik, #NTRvsHrithik just has a better ring to it. Let\u2019s call it a win for me already!” Their back-and-forth banter set the perfect tone for the high-stakes showdown promised in War 2.<\/p>\n

Recently, reports suggested that Jr NTR is paid Rs 70 crore for\u00a0War 2<\/a>, while Hrithik will receive Rs 50 crore with backend earnings. Now, there are rumours that the South actor has also bagged a profit-sharing deal. According to Bollywood Hungama, YRF has now parted ways with the Telugu rights of War 2 by selling it upfront to Naga Vamsi for a whopping Rs 90 crore. A source told the portal, \u201cNaga Vamsi has acquired Telugu rights for War 2 for Rs 90 crores. Every profit from the Telugu theatrical medium will now go to Naga Vamsi, while YRF has received an outright recovery of Rs 90 crores on a budget of Rs 400 crore. The Telugu case has been settled between the parties.”<\/p>\n

In a major deal, Naga Vamsi and NTR Jr agreed to split the profits from War 2<\/a>\u2019s Telugu adaptation. \u201cAfter receiving a large salary of Rs 70 crores, NTR Jr. is also entitled to a portion of the revenues from the Telugu version of Naga Vamsi. He is anticipated to earn more than Rs 100 Crore by the end of the run, as the Telugu version of War 2 is expected to generate significant earnings. The profits from Telugu will be split between NTR Jr. and Vamsi, not YRF or Hrithik,” the trade source added.<\/p>\n

Directed by Ayan Mukerji and produced by Aditya Chopra, War 2 stars Hrithik Roshan, NTR, and Kiara Advani. The action-packed YRF Spy Universe film hits theatres on August 14, 2025, in Hindi, Telugu, and Tamil.<\/p>\n
