Actor Arjun Kapoor is feeling a mix of pride, nostalgia, and bittersweet emotion as his sister Anshula Kapoor gets engaged to her longtime boyfriend, writer Rohan Thakkar. The actor took to Instagram to pen a heartfelt message that beautifully captured the love and protectiveness of an older brother watching his little sister step into a new chapter of life.<\/p>\n

Arjun Kapoor\u2019s Heartfelt Message<\/strong><\/p>\n

Sharing a series of candid pictures from the intimate family celebration, Arjun poured his heart out in a note that instantly resonated with fans. \u201cI guess it\u2019s time I start accepting that you\u2019ll be leaving me and going your own way soon\u2026 it\u2019s gonna break me a little, but I also know you\u2019re going to be with someone who can make you smile\u2026 even if not quite as much as me\u2026 but he\u2019ll still do a great job,” he wrote.<\/p>\n

In the emotional note, the Animal actor also remembered his late mother, Mona Shourie Kapoor, whose absence was deeply felt during the occasion. \u201cI miss Mom even more now\u2026 but I know she\u2019s watching over you, helping you find Rohan, and guiding you with her divine touch. Trust in her watchful eye and be happy,” Arjun shared, evoking heartfelt reactions from fans.<\/p>\n

He concluded with a warm welcome for his soon-to-be brother-in-law: \u201cFrom being my partner in crime to finding your forever partner, my Ansh is all grown up. All my love and warmest wishes to you both as you begin this new chapter. Welcome to the family, @rohanthakkar1511 \u2014 you\u2019re in for a ride.”<\/p>\n

The post quickly drew love from across the industry. Ayesha Shroff wrote, \u201cCongratulations kiddos,” while Pooja Hegde added, \u201cCongratulations, loads of love and light to them.” Filmmaker Tahira Kashyap too dropped a sweet note, calling it \u201cso beautiful.”<\/p>\n

Earlier, Anshula had officially announced her engagement by sharing dreamy photos from their Gor Dhana ceremony \u2014 a traditional Gujarati pre-wedding ritual similar to an engagement. The event, held on October 2, 2025, was attended by the entire Kapoor clan, including Boney Kapoor, Janhvi Kapoor, Khushi Kapoor, Sonam Kapoor, Rhea Kapoor, Shanaya Kapoor, and Maheep Kapoor, among others.<\/p>\n

In her caption, Anshula wrote, \u201cThis wasn\u2019t just our Gor Dhana, it was love showing up in every little detail. Ro\u2019s favourite words have always been \u2018always and forever\u2019\u2014and today, they started to feel real in the sweetest way.”<\/p>\n

She also invoked her mother\u2019s memory, writing, \u201cMa\u2019s love quietly wrapped itself around us\u2014in her flowers, in her words, in her seat, in the way her presence could still be felt everywhere. A Love Story That Began In New York<\/strong><\/p>\n

Anshula and Rohan\u2019s love story has been quietly unfolding over the past couple of years. She made their relationship Instagram official in 2023, often sharing glimpses of their travels and special moments. Earlier this year, she revealed that Rohan proposed to her at New York\u2019s Central Park \u2014 a setting straight out of a romantic movie.<\/p>\n
